tennessee williams once wrote; when so many are lonely as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone.

it's true you know. 6 billion people in the world, but how many can truly say that they aren't alone? well yeah, but isn't it funny how nobody bothers to answer why.
hmm.. let me
tell you why! in this vast ocean of people, faces, they pass you by. some you keep close, some you let slip. why? its too difficult. in our quest to eradicate the loneliness, we want friends. friends, even though the closeness is temporary and we try to please and appease everyone. but how far does it take you? more often than not, the feeling is fleeting and soon.. you realise,
what the hell are you doing? and then comes the slip. funny tho, these friends don't stick around either.
but even sometimes, the ones close by. they leave. why. we usually bring it on ourselves. the fear of losing someone usually brings about a bout of tough love maybe.. and you say some things. mean things, that hurt them and you push them away before
they can hurt you. and soon, you're in this hole you've dug for urself and the indifference finally gets to them and they leave us. what we didn't count on was that either way, it'd hurt. isn't it funny how indifference is worse than hate? so yeah, join the club.
the club of lonely hearts.
so i guess we're all destined to be alone. eventually. ask anyone.
